Important General Information
These sections give you the essential information and a Step-by-Step guide on information you need to know before arrival, during welcome week and moving into your studies.
Students studying at Partner Institutions in the UK
If you are going to be studying at one of our partner institutions in the UK you will be able to access a variety of University resources online to help you with your studies. For more detailed information please see the Partnerships Need to Know guide.
Full-time International Students
If you are an International Student, you will hopefully have received information from International Student Support.
Please go to International Student Support web pages for more detailed information specifically for International Students. You can then come back to this site and click on either Full time Undergraduate and Postgraduate, Part time Undergraduate and Postgraduate or Distance Learning. This is specifically for UK students but most of the information will still be relevant for you.

Step-by-Step Guide
You should have received a copy of the Step by Step Guide (PDF, file size: 2.39MB) with your welcome letter . This includes all those important things to do before you join us, when to arrive and enrol, getting help, support and guidance on finances, accommodation and lots more!
Upload or post your photo
To accompany this guide you will also have received a 'Hurry' insert (PDF, file size: 348.81KB) . This is for you to use to send in a passport-sized photograph of yourself to create your Student Card – your passport to the Students’ Union, libraries, IT facilities and more. You have the option to upload a digital photograph when you e-enrol or to post a paper copy with the tear-off slip in the 'hurry' insert. Whichever way you choose, please send us your photograph, otherwise your Student Card won’t be ready for the start of the semester.
Arriving by Train
If you plan to arrive at the University by Train, we will be operating a free Meet & Greet service throughout January from Stoke-on-Trent Railway Station and Stafford Railway Station. You will need to let us know you are arriving by completing the Meet & Greet form (DOC, file size: 48.5KB) and returning this by email to studentexperience@staffs.ac.uk We will then arrange for a University representative to meet you when your train arrives, bring you to the University and help you to settle in and find your way around.
